South - Adventures in the Underground Journey to the Stars (2006)

South are a multi-instrumentalist trio from London. Originally mentored by Ian Brown, and signed to James Lavelle's (UNKLE) own record label. A really nice brit-pop indie band, to be put in the same genre as coldplay. A good mix of upbeat songs and flowing soft sounds. The early songs on the album, can be compared to Joy Division style. "These guys can tackle all sorts of music: moody indierock, lush shoegazer, swirly atmospherics, electronic-edged folkpop, and any imaginable blend of the above. And what's more, they can do it well." Not very well known, but should be!
