Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplane Over The Sea (1998)

Can't believe I missed this one!! Discovered this band only a month ago, and it's instantly up there as one of my favourite albums of the last 10 years! Right from the opening, the crisp, catchy acoustic guitar playing catches you and won't let go. And his voice is unique and brilliant! Also an array of other instruments are used (horns, organs, accordions, saws, banjo, zanzithophone, etc.).
NMH are part of the 'Elephant Six Collective' from Athens, Georgia, USA. Absolutely amazing!
